valueOf

Parameters:

name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.

Returns:

the enum constant with the specified name

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if this enum class has no constant with the specified name

NullPointerException - if the argument is null

computeDiffsAddressSet

Compute the address set where two byte buffers differ, given a start address

Parameters:

start - the address of the byte at each buffer's current position

a - the first buffer

b - the second buffer

Returns:

the address set where the buffers differ

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if the two buffers have different amounts remaining

arrayOrGet

public static byte[] arrayOrGet(ByteBuffer buf)

Get or copy a byte buffer's backing array.

If the buffer's position and array offset is 0, then this returns the backing array. Otherwise, this copies the remaining contents of the buffer into a new array, without affecting the buffer's position.

Parameters:

buf - the buffer

Returns:

the backing array or a new array with the buffer's remaining contents
